The debt of global sins is coming due!  The stones are being readied for stoning the wicked as required by LAW:  “If there be found among you within any of your gates which Yahweh your Elohim has given you, man or woman that has wrought wickedness in the sight of Yahweh your Elohim, in transgressing His covenant and has gone and served  OTHER DEITIES  [God, Jesus, Lord, Allah, Asteroth, etc.] and worshipped [bowed or prayed to] them…then you shall bring forth that man or woman, which have committed that wicked thing, to your gates…AND YOU SHALL STONE THEM WITH STONES, till they die (Deut. 17:2, 5)!”

Yahweh’s stoning of this earth is not
 science fiction, a movie script, nor just
doom and gloom hype!  It will be  feverishly reported on CNN, ABC, etc.!
It will be screaming news on the
Internet and  blasted with bold head-
lines across the front page of national
daily newspapers! 
    Real-time telecasts will track the
incoming appointment with destiny as
millions watch in frozen terror at the
spectacle before their eyes!
 Notice what else the Bible says:
“…and the Earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard…and the transgression shall be heavy upon it (Isa. 24:19:20).” 
Yahweh means business!
     Notice: “…and the stars of heaven fell to the earth….every mountain and island were moved out of their places…(Rev. 6:13).”  “And…something like a great mountain burning with fire [an asteroid!] was thrown into the sea…(Rev. 8:8, RSV).” 
    But will people repent of their sins?  Will the earth’s inhabitants be pre-pared for this ultimate discontinuity in civilization?  What are the chances of survival?  Few churches are telling their followers the truth about what lies ahead.  Why not? 

The Scope of the Asteroid Threat

     There are about 2000 near-Earth asteroids.  Generally, asteroid orbital periods range mainly between 3.5 and 6 years. Those crossing the plane of  Earth’s orbit pose grave potential hazards. Such hazards have become reality a surprising number of times in the Earth’s history.
     For example, there are 136 known meteoritic impact sites on Earth!  These impacts range from 0.02 km [~ 0.01242 miles = 65.5 feet] up to a whopping 300 km [~ 186.3 miles] in Vredefort, South Africa! 
    This monster was an estimated 65 miles across!  About half of these, 64, are 10 km [6.21 miles] or more across.   Nineteen are 20 miles or more wide.  Surprisingly, approximately 50 tons of space debris fall on the Earth daily. (Source:  Dean Smith, The Meteor Crater Story, Appendix One).  This is a daily occurrence!
     Besides these terrestrial impact sites with their  debris, numerous meteorites have been found in the snow and ice of Antarctica.  From the South Pole, there are 1000 miles of ice and snow in all directions. Since 1969, over 7000 specimens have been discovered in this  frozen  and inhospitable wasteland (op. cit., p. 61).
     Too, given the fact that 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered by oceans and an additional percentage by ice, there are surely many more undiscovered meteorites and their craters.

Other Close Encounters: A Troubling Trend?

    Table 1 below shows the 42 closest approaches by asteroids over the last 65 years which have not entered the the Earth's atmosphere.  Note that of the 14 closest approaches (those above the horizontal line) five occurred in 2002.   That is 36 percent.  The most of any year since 1937!
    Also, the most activity occurred in the years 2001-2002 tallying 17 encounters or about 40 percent of the total!  Is Yahweh firing an increasing number of warning shots across the bow of Spaceship Earth?!  Are these to let us know that we must turn back from our paths of lawlessness before we pass the point of no return?!
   Will we as a nation and as a world community, turn
in humble repentance to follow the righteous ways of old?
"…ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and
walk therein (Jer. 16:6)."
    The momentous, staggering facts of Scripture regarding
the impacts with the earth by age-ending asteroids, hardly
seems the remote possibility they once did.  Now, scientists
often raise the specter of such collisions as a doomsday
scenario!
    But they are not always easy detect.  For example,
asteroid 2002MN [see Table 1] passed earth June 14,
coming within 75,000 miles at a speed of 23,000 miles per
hour, but it was not detected until three days after it
passed us!  The size of a soccer field, the big rock would
have caused a global catastrophe had it landed.
    Of the nearly 2000 near-Earth asteroids, researchers
have found about 1000 larger than 1 kilometer (0.6 miles)
in an orbit that might one day threaten the Earth with planet-
wide chaos.  Scientists believe some are the size of a huge
asteroid 12 miles wide that smashed into the Earth 3.5
billion years ago (Yahoo News, August 23, 2002).
    In late January, 2002 top researchers made a joint
political plea for help in saving the planet by early warning
systems such as telescopes targeting potentially dangerous
asteroid encounters.
    Although scientists may sometimes disagree over their
findings, one thing they do agree on "…is that the threat
is REAL!"  (Robert R. Britt, "World's Asteroid Hunters Make
Political Plea to Save Earth", Space.com, January 31, 2002).

    The HOLY DAYS and Possible Future
       Implications of Table 1 & Table 2

    Table 2 directly below Table 1 shows the eight closest                                                                        approaches of asteroids within the next 33 years.  Note that                                                                        these are only the known cases.  There may be others.
    What is prophetically significant about the data of Table 1
 and 2?  The Holy Days of Yahweh (Lev. 23) are
"…shadows of things to come…(Col. 2:16),"  It is, therefore,
 important to  examine the entries of Tables 1 and 2 relative
 to these important prophetic times.
    Tables 1 and 2 indicate the most active month is
October, twice any other month!  Note this:  in those 
years when these closest encounter occur during the
month of October, the Feast of Tabernacles ends in
October in those same years.
