SABBATH THOUGHTS: It is not in the Bible. The Evening-to-Evening Day is not there.

Some Israelites’ adoption of the sunset-to-sunset day while in Babylonian captivity is an historical fact as shown by this frank admission from J. Z. Lauterbach:

“There can be no doubt that in pre-exilic times the Israelites reckoned…The day began with the dawn… [notice] in post-exilic times, however, …a change in the system of reckoning the day was made, and the day was reckoned as extending from the preceding to the following evening…”

The facts of history do not lie.

ISAIAH: More Destruction Ahead

The present capital is Damascus [considered world’s oldest city]:

“For the head of Syria is Damascus…” (Isa. 7:8).

“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap…” (Isa. 17:1).

“The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria …” (Isa. 17:3).

AMOS: Damascus’ Defenses Fall

“Thus saith Yahweh [“the LORD”; KJV]: For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof…I will break also the bar of Damascus, [“shatter the defenses of;” Moffatt] and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, …and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir,” saith Yahweh [“the LORD”]. (Amos 1:3, 5).

In much earlier times King Tiglathpileser of Assyria carried the people of Damascus captive to Kir (II Kin. 16:9). Kir is a place subject to the Assyrians, “between the Euxine and Caspian seas, and formerly a city of the Medes…” It is also a place in Moab [modern Jordan].

In modern times, these prophecies are once again being fulfilled as Syria struggles in a war that so far no one has won! Are we about to witness a final fulfillment, a cyclic completion, of the prophets’ words to Syria?

Sometimes it is claimed the monthly New Moons are Sabbaths in which no business or work is done the same as the weekly and annual Sabbaths. Is the 9th New Moon tomorrow (11-19-2017) a Sabbath?

Conspicuously, the Law nowhere indicates each New Moon is a Sabbath. This in itself is definitive proof.

Notice how Hosea separates New Moons and Sabbaths which are both feasts: “I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days: her New Moons, and her Sabbaths, and all her solemn Feasts.” (Hosea 2:11).

The plural in Hosea 2:11, “SabbathS” includes all Sabbaths which clearly does not include New Moons.

Also, the prophet Elisha separates these two observances, “…Wherefore will you go to him today? It is neither New Moon nor Sabbath…(2 Ki. 3:23).”

He, like Hosea, does not include New Moons with Sabbaths. He did not say, “…It is neither New Moon Sabbath nor Sabbath..” If both were Sabbaths, why separate them?

New Moons are special festivals which include worship: “…the people…shall worship at the door of this gate before Yahweh in the Sabbaths and in the New Moons.” (Ezk. 46:3; also Isa. 66:23), and blowing of trumpets (Num. 10:3; Psa. 81:3).

Here prophet Ezekiel, like Hosea and Elisha, separates the Sabbaths and New Moons. SabbathS would include ALL Sabbaths of which the regular monthly New Moons are clearly not a part.

These references taken together leave no doubt the monthly New Moon (except for Shoutings/Trumpets) is not a Sabbath…unless a yearly Sabbath or weekly Sabbath happens to fall on a New Moon.

America shares with the ancient Roman Empire an obsessive love of pleasure, leisure, violence and sports.

The Rome of that bygone era was thought impregnable, nearly “eternal.”

Amid its opulence and power such thoughts of “a fall” were heretically beyond belief. But it happened.

What role did its religious climate play in that fall?

The erosion of its moral base and work ethic fostered by growing government intrusion into private life, accelerated Rome’s demise.

Is America, such a young republic, on the precipice of a similar fate in a much shorter time?

What role will religion play in America’s ultimate fate?

Rome was not “too big to fail,” are we?

SABBATH THOUGHTS: Two Things We Need to Know

What do we need to know to protect our freedoms?

This: What are the Laws?

Who is going to Enforce them?

It is obvious there is no Freedom without Law. There is no Law without Enforcement…consequences.

There are natural Laws acting without emotion, regardless of religious beliefs, race, wealth, poverty, political views or personalty type.

They are always enforced….always. If we are ignorant of them, makes no difference, the consequences act regardless.

The Bible is full of these Laws, but placing them under the category of religion, often seems to make them more or less arbitrary. They are not.

Unseen, but relentless, they act for us or against us….Our choice which consequence we get.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you Life and Death, Blessing and Cursing: therefore choose Life, that both you and your seed may Live.(Deut. 30:19)

“If you despise my statutes…or abhor my judgments….so that you will not do all my commandments…I also will do this to you: I will even appoint over you TERROR [ism]…” (Lev. 26:15-16)

When we see the sad and tragic devastations in Texas, Florida, California…all that is left for many is one thing: HOPE

“For we are saved by HOPE:…if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”

“Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

“And we know that all things work together for good to them who love Yahweh, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” [Rom. 8:24-26,28]

Follow this link to see what Catholics confess about the 7th Day Sabbath:

“Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy.

Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahweh your Elohim: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is with your gates:…” (Ex. 20:8-10)

(Sept. 20, 2017)
(Annual Holy Day)

“Blow at New Moon a Shofar…” (Psa. 81:3)

“In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets [shofars], an Holy Convocation. You shall do no servile work…” (Lev. 23:24-25)

“Let no man therefore judge you …in respect of an Holy Day, or of the New Moon…which are [not “were”] a shadow of things to come…” (Col. 2:16-17)

“As many as have sinned in the Law shall be judged by the Law…For not the hearers of the Law are just before Yahweh, but the doers of the Law shall be justified.” (Rom. 2:12)

“And the seventh angel sounded [a shofar: Rev. 8:2]; and there were great voices in heaven, saying,

The kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of Yahweh and His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and forever.” (Rev. 11:15; Yahweh: “Lord”; Messiah: “Christ”; KJV)

September 16, 2017

Do the following verses from Matt. 24 apply to that date….or does that date foretell another event of great significance?

“For just as the lightening comes from the east, and flashes even to the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.”

“…and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky…” (Matt. 24:27, 29-30)

Across the internet multiple YouTube videos are predicting the second coming of the Messiah or some ominous events will take place on September 23, 2017.

They are basing their predictions on the following:

“And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” (Rev. 12:1)

Their interpretation of this verse goes something like this:

(1). The woman represents the constellation Virgo- one of the twelve signs of the Zodiac used in astrology to predict personal traits and the future for persons born with this sign (August 23 to September 22).

(2). “…clothed with the sun..” is the sun entering Virgo Sept. 23, 2017.

(3). “…the moon under her feet…” is the New Moon crescent at the feet of Virgo Sept. 23, 2017.

(4). “…a crown of twelve stars…” is 9 stars of the constellation Leo which lies above Virgo’s head…PLUS the planets Mercury, Mars, and Venus which align just above Virgo’s head on Sept. 23, 2017.

(5). Also, the planet Jupiter enters Virgo Sept. 23, 2017, and stays 9 months (reference to Rev. 12:5’s record of the birth of a male baby.)

(6). September 23, 2017 is the Feast of Trumpets.

Those proclaiming this date as significant always leave themselves an out…saying something MAY or MAY NOT happen then.

WE ARE SAYING ALL THESE ARE PRIVATE INTERPRETATIONS OF REV. 12.1,5, and have no Scriptural grounds whatever! Therefore, we do NOT expect this date to have any special significance! The second coming of Yahshua, the Messiah, will not occur on September 23, 2017.

AND the Feast of (Shoutings) Trumpets is not September 23, 2017, but September 20 in some locations and September 21 in Jerusalem….

The apostle Peter said, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation.” (2 Pet. 1:20). We, ICY, believe Peter’s statement.

WATCH FOR THE NEXT ISSUE OF “INSIGHT” MAGAZINE ( which contains specific information on REV. 12:1,5 identifying the woman and the stars in her crown…FROM THE BIBLE…not a private interpretation! (This information was presented in a power point at the 2015 Feast of Tabernacles.)

“And Yahweh spoke…saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an
holy convocation.

You shall do no servile work…” (Lev. 23:24-25)

“And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing
the trumpets…” (Num 29:1)

“I am Yahweh your Elohim; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;

And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your Elohim.” (Ezk. 20:19-20)

“Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to have pity…” (Psa. 69:20)

“For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come
nigh unto thee.” (Psa. 32:6)

“The Second Coming of Babylon”: Read this book first published 27 years ago!

A World Capital, a great city-called a “woman” in prophecy, is about to make a meteoric rise to prominence and dominance on the world scene!

What is the name of this awakening giant, this center of opulence and world power? Where is it located?

This book reveals the clear, definite Biblical answers to these questions. No guessing. No speculation.

Too, this “woman” rides a 10-horned beast. Who are these “ten horns” of prophecy (Rev. 17:12, 14, 16)?

Read the actual NAMES of the ten-horns of prophecy unveiled right from your Bible.

Learn when-month and year-the woman will likely be destroyed.

“The Second Coming of Babylon,” is an urgent, stunning message for this end-time generation about, “…things which must shortly come to pass…” (Rev. 1:2).

Watch: “The Iraqi Dinar and Modern Babylon” on YouTube to see evidence of the prophecies in this book coming alive!

August 22, 2017

Yesterday, August 21, 2017, the US had its most dramatic eclipse-covering the most states-since 1918 as a total eclipse swept across the face of America from coast-to-coast!

From our location, Pocahontas, AR, I made several photos as the eclipse progressed (see attachments). We were not in the path where a total eclipse could be seen, but our location experienced 95.7% maximum coverage.

The Biblical first day of the month for the US, however, is today, August 22, 2017 as the day moves around the globe.

Following on the cusp of a dramatic TOTAL ECLIPSE sets this sixth month apart from most!

The New Moons are important sentients in the heavens throughout the year, and are definitely shadows of things to come (Col. 2:16-17).

A reference in Matt. 24:29-30 strongly hints Yahshua will return following closely after what apparently is the description of a total solar eclipse. Read this remarkable account!

This sixth New Moon also tells us the Feast of Tabernacles is a month and a half away; just six weeks. I hope everyone has finalized or is finalizing plans to attend this important festival.

As chaos, “a therapy culture” of this generation, and rebellion against authority accelerate, so are end time prophecies coming to light as never before!

With this it becomes increasingly important that we maintain our focus in staying the course in keeping Yahweh’s planned Holy Days.

The New Moons are also one of those important times we must not overlook or devalue!

“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree is holy unto Yahweh.” (Lev. 27:30)

“And the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even whatsoever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto Yahweh.” (Lev. 27:32)

These verses do not say these tithes on produce and animals can be exchanged for money and then ten percent of the money given. That would be adding to the Law (Deut. 12:32).

Now. Sometimes the word translated “increase” in the King James version is used to mean anything beyond produce or animals such as your paycheck, or monetary profit, by quoting:

“Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of your seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.” (Deut. 14:22)

“…thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year…” (Deut. 14:28)

Or perhaps: “”When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase….” (Deut. 26:12)

The word “increase” in the KJV should be translated “produce, crop” (New World translation); “yield, produce, fruit” (Revised Standard Version); “produce, crop” (Moffatt translation)

Usually a favorite verse used to try to support tithing on money is:

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,…and prove me now herewith,….if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” (Mal. 3:10)

Money is mentioned numerous times in Scripture, but not once is any command given to tithe on it.

READ OUR BOOK: “BIBLICAL TITHING IS NOT ON MONEY” and YOU BE THE JUDGE. What does the Bible really say about tithing?

“…and, as his custom was, he [Yahshua] went into the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up for to read.” (Lk. 4:16).

“…and…on the Sabbath day he [Yahshua] entered into the synagogue, and taught.”  (Mk. 1:21)

“And he [Yahshua] was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.”  (Lk. 13:10)

“And he [Paul] reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.”  (Acts 18:4)

“….a time to heal;…time to break down, and time to build up;

“A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance…” (Eccl. 3:1, 3-4)

“And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” (Matt. 21:22)

“…and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.

Therefore I say to you, What things soever you desire, when you pray believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” (Mark 11:23-24)
